Our Club-Fitting Process

At Ken Schall Golf Performance Studio, every meeting begins with a warm-up session in the club-fitting studio. Your fitting experience includes an analysis of your current equipment as we record data from swings and shots hit with your current set.

Based on our findings, we will begin to narrow down the scope of the proper head design, shaft flex possibilities, length, lie angle, etc. We will then begin to test head/shaft combinations until we achieve the combination that provides measurable results and feels right in your hand

Next, the clubs will be ordered or built on-site. We offer many upgraded, aftermarket shaft options that are not available from many manufacturers. Once received, they will be measured for length, lie angle, loft gapping and shaft flex in our repair shop to ensure that what you ordered is what you received.

At Ken Schall Golf, we offer a premium club fitting experience and don’t charge a penny more for clubs than you would find at the big box stores

Putter Fittings

Putter fittings; a largely overlooked part of the club fitting experience. If you haven’t been fit, or at least had your flat stick checked to make sure it specs out right for you, you owe it to yourself to get this done.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a putter; brand, shape, insert or milled, hosel type, line configuration, length, lie, loft, grip size, head weight, counterweight, etc… and ALL will effect you in someway. Stop by to make sure you’re getting the best out of your putter!

Fitting Questions

  • How & When do I pay for my Clubs?

You can pay for your clubs with Cash, Check or Card.  Please be aware, we do charge a 3% surcharge for card transactions.  To avoid that, please pay in cash or check.  We also require payment upfront before we will place any orders.

  • What do I bring?

Bring whatever club you are planning on getting fit for.  Iron set? Bring your old irons.  Driver? Bring your old driver & a club to warm up with.  If you’re in doubt, go ahead and bring your entire bag in.  We have plenty of room!

  • Why do the fittings last so long?

The Full Bag & Full Bag Plus fittings are as long as they are to allow us a proper amount of time to fit you, evaluate all our options, build you a spec sheet with the pricing and answer any questions you might have.  Don’t worry!  You will not be hitting shots the entire time!

  • Can I wear my Golf Shoes?

You’re welcome to bring your golf shoes.  Please do us a favor though and make sure they are clean.  You are also allowed to wear street shoes/tennis shoes in our bays.  Our hitting mats are really solid and you won’t really have issues slipping around.

  • Do I need to be a great player to get fit?

Absolutely NOT!  In fact the opposite is true.  High level players can make up for poorly fit clubs with their skill level.  Beginner players do not have that luxury.  Getting fit makes sure that you are not being limited by your equipment!

  • Do you refund the fitting fee?

As of January 2025, we no longer refund the fitting fees.  It has simply become too expensive to maintain our fitting systems and technology.  Rest assured that all the fitting fees we collect go DIRECTLY to the end product that our customers get to experience.  While the fitting fee policy has changed, our pricing of clubs will remain at the exact price that you would see at a Big Box Store if you bought it off the rack.
