Each month we will choose both an Adult and a Junior student to recognize with our Student of the Month. This award is not solely based on awards or tournaments won, but also hard work, improvement, and milestones met in the players game. We see this as a way to highlight not only our tournament and award winners, but also our everyday golfers that are really putting in the work to get better at this great game!

Ava & Ella Lohrbach – Long time students of Ken Schall, Ava and Ella Lohrbach have consistently been top performers in their class. They are no strangers to hard work and have invested a lot into their games. Recently, they have both committed to play at the next level at Drake University here in Des Moines Iowa!
Congratulations to you both on your committment to play at the next level, all you’ve done so far, and all that you will do in the future! We appreciate your hard work!
Adult Student of the Month
AJ Ballantyne (left) – AJ has been at the Studio for a short time compared to some, but he came on the scene with a burning passion to improve. He started taking lessons and practicing almost daily at the studio and has seen some very impressive changes in his ball flight, club head speed, distance, dispersion and is now working on wedge control!
AJ! We appreciate all the hard work you’re doing and will continue to do this off-season. Next golf season is going to look a little different for you!

Junior Student of the Month
Andrew Johannsen – Andrew has been a long time student of Ken Schall Golf Performance Studio. Taking lessons with Ken for the past handful of years! Andrew has always had the talent to play the game at a high level, but has really worked to develop his game over the past few years. All his hardwork came to fruition this fall at Iowa’s 4A State Golf Tournament where he prevailed as the Individual Champion after a tough loss last year. We are super proud of his hard work and that is why we have given him our first ever Junior Student of the Month honor. Andrew will continue his Golfing Career at the University of Iowa later next year.
Adult Student of the Month
Joshua Coleman – Josh has been working his tail off over the past year to take his game to the next level. A student of both Sam Rice and Seth Svejda, Joshua has combined instruction and hard work, utilizing the Studio’s practice memberships to really hone his craft. Joshua has gone from mid 70’s club speed with a 7 iron to the mid 90’s in about a years time! Not only has he gotten faster and longer, he has considerably straightened out his ball flight as well.
Joshua is a great example that hard work always pays off in time, and because of that we have decided to honor that hard work with our first ever Adult Student of the Month.
