What Sets Us Apart?
At Ken Schall Golf, all of our teachers are PGA Professionals or Associates. This is something that sets us apart from our competition. Becoming a PGA Professional is no small task, and requires years of ongoing training and education. This process of education and life-long learning is something that we take seriously as a teaching staff. We have dedicated years of our lives to learning what is really necessary to helping golfers succeed so we can pass along the most pertinent information that YOU need for YOUR swing.
As a staff we regularly attend teaching conferences and seminars to continue to learn and add tools to our belt. We believe there is no one way to swing a club and we will work together to find a swing that works best for you. After each lesson you’ll receive notes or a video recap of what to work on for next time via our Trackman Performance Software and we will have you on the road to more enjoyable golf, fast. If you have a lesson with Sam Rice, Seth Svejda or Mitch Tucker, you’ll be setup with a student account on the Skillest Platform. A coaching app that allows us to take more videos in lesson, share them with you and communicate post lesson so you stay on the right path.

Our Approach to Instruction
Game Evaluations
Game Evaluations are an appointment that we start new students with. This evaluation helps us figure out where your game is at, what goals you have and create a roadmap between where you are and where you want to be.
This is different for each student – Some students want to play high level golf, maybe at the college level, some want to break 90 and compete with their friends, some are just starting the game and just want to feel comfortable on the course. If you’re in any of these boats, or somewhere in between, this appointment helps us create YOUR roadmap
Lesson Documentation
No matter how simple a Coach makes a lesson, it’s still a necessity that you have access to everything that you did in a Lesson. We utilize two tools to get this done.
Skillest – This is a Free app that we use to video document lessons with notes, recaps and voiceovers. It’s also our most valuable tool when it comes to student/coach communication. If you want help between lessons, this is your place to go to contact your coach and send videos/messages back and forth.
Trackman – Through this app you’ll get screencasts and data reports from the lesson.
Mental Training
2 Questions
1. Is the Mental Game Important?
2. If yes, what are you doing to train it?
All of our Coaches at Ken Schall Golf are certified through FlowCode – the industry leaders in Mental Game Coaching. We also use FocusCalm Technology to track brainwave activity and make measurable changes to your state management in real time
If you’re tired of your mental game holding you back, you’re in the right place.
Playing Lessons
We Teach the Game, Not just the Swing – This Core Value spurs on our desire to find unique ways to continue to improve our instruction offerings. This year, we will be re-vamping how we do Playing Lessons to offer more opportunities for our Students at better price points. These Playing Lessons are designed specifically to help you transfer all your learning indoors at our Performance Studio into better scores on the Golf Course through better course management, mental game strategies, and how to PLAY the game, not just swing a club.

FAQ
Lesson Questions
- Do lesson packages expire?ย
Yes, starting in 2024 Lesson packages will expire 1 year after the date of first use.ย This is in an effort to keep our schedule open to current students.ย We also find that students who go through their package within a calendar year experience the most gain.ย Our average 5 pack lasts students 2-3 months & Our average 10 pack lasts 6-7 months.
*If you’ve previously bought a package with us, don’t worry, you package will not expire.ย This is not a retroactive change*
- Whatโs a Hybrid Package?
Hybrid packages are a combination of In-Person & Online Instruction.ย This is a great way for students to save money, time, and travel expenses while taking lessons.ย Packages will start with in-person Game Evaluations and alternate between in-person & online sessions until your package is completely utilized.ย **All packages have the option of exchanging in-person instruction for online instruction.
- What does an Online Lesson look like?
Online lessons for Hybrid Packages involve the student submitting a series a Swing Videos to your instructor.ย Just like an in-person lesson, you’ll get an analysis of the swing and how you’re progressing, along with the next steps.ย You’ll also receive a series of drill videos to help correct the movement/swing further, just like an in-person lesson.ย The only difference between an online lesson and an in-person lesson is that you don’t have to travel to the studio to see your instructor.ย Submit the lesson on your own time from the comfort of your own home.
- Whatโs a Student Community?
Ken Schall Golf Student Communities are Student groups of current and past students committed to continually bettering their game through competition, education & group learning.ย Youโll get access to a group forum where you can ask questions and engage with Ken Schall Golf coaches & students, weekly competitions, in-person meet-ups to practice & play, season end prizes, select discounts & more.
- What is Skillest?
Skillest is a lesson platform that we utilize to facilitate better learning within a session.ย This platform allows us to document additional content during lessons, facilitate online learning, schedule & plan practice for students, but most importantly; stay connected to you whenever you need us.ย Included in all lessons at Ken Schall Golf (with Seth or Sam).
- Whatโs a Game Evaluation?
A Game Evaluation is our way of assessing the current state of your game and setting forth a roadmap for you to reach your goals.ย Much like when you go to the doctors office; when you come into a Game Evaluation at Ken Schall Golf we assume that you are interested in our expertise at diagnosing exactly whatโs keeping you from achieving your goals.ย In this 2 hour session, youโll go through the trackman combine, play a few holes, putt on SAM Lab, & go through a TPI assessment (if booked with Seth). This will leave you with a clear picture of the necessary steps to take your game to the next level.
- How long are lessons?
Besides a Game Evaluation (2 hours) all our lessons at 1 hour long.ย We believe that anything shorter doesnโt allow enough time for proper learning.ย 1 hour lessons allow us to get you completely warmed up, catch up about how youโre dealing with past lesson changes, go over stats and homework, make new changes if needed, recap what we did, and make a plan for what to do between now and then next lesson.
- What is a good cadence between lessons?
Generally, we want the student to come back for their next lesson for one of two reasons.ย Either they feel comfortable with the previous changes to move on, or they are struggling and need extra help!ย Obviously it would be great to move onto something new every lesson, but some things you’ll pick up on quickly, others will challenge you a bit more.ย Don’t be ashamed to come back in for more help.ย That’s what we are here for!!
